Mycotoxin testing revealed seven times the normal level of ochratoxin A, four times the normal level of gliotoxin, and five times the normal level of citrinin. Genetic testing confirmed she carried a mould-susceptible HLA haplotype, meaning her immune system was genetically unable to clear these biotoxins efficiently. Her body had been accumulating them since the day she moved in.
